Review Topic: Naturalization

My wife had her Naturalization interview today.

We arrived at 9:50am for a 10:15am appointment. Security took a few minutes...the guard was impressed by my new phone battery and asked several questions (smile).

The wife was brought back by ISO 2 Brotton at 10:14am. She returned to the lobby at 10:30am. Her interview was successful.

She said he asked a few questions about the N-400, making sure that we still lived where we had said. He asked her five questions from the 100-question set, and she answered all five correctly. (Two of them were "what is your state capital?" and "what is the supreme law of the land?") She also did her English testing...my wife has been in the U.S. almost 10 years now, so she had no issues with the exam.

Now we wait to hear about the oath ceremony.

I think we've been very lucky with the people at the Fort Smith office. I hear so many other people talk about problems and issues w... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Sorry this is so late. Our Biometrics Appointment was for 9AM on July 11, 2014. We arrived at the small office and went through security. A few minutes later we were called to the ASC Window where we filled out a form. Then they called my husband in for his photo and fingerprints. The lady handling the case was very polite. After a few minutes we were done and out the door. Now we are awaiting the AOS Interview.

Be sure to have an appointment as they will not talk to you without an appointment. Several people had wondered in to ask questions, etc, and were told to make an appointment first.

Review Topic: Lifting Conditions

Arrived at 7:10am for an 8:30am appointment. Entered the building at 8:10am.

*NOTE* Fort Smith has room for one person or couple in the security area at a time. If you're not already past security, and you're not the one or couple in security, you'll be asked to wait outside until security is clear. You might be outside for a while.

ISO Bratton came to get us out of the waiting area at 8:45am. He swore us in as soon as we entered his office. He asked to see my wife's passport and green card. He had two files on his desk, each one about six inches thick. One was labeled PART 1 OF 2 and appears to be the documentation we did for our I-130. The other was labeled PART 2 of 2 and was all the paperwork related to the lifting conditions. I recognized most of the paperwork he went through...I sent it to them in the past. He asked us to confirm our home and mailing addresses, and where we both worked. He reviewed the rest of the documentation, making no... read complete review

Review Topic: Other Experience

This was a biometrics appointment for a Removal of Condition.

(Caution: Interstate 540 is undergoing major construction in the Fort Smith area. Allow extra time to get to the office if you're using I-540.)

Appointment was at 1pm. Arrived at 12:45pm. Security asked us to wait outside for a minute, then let us in. The metal detector was down, so we turned over our pocket belongings for the x-ray and were then hand-wanded one at a time. They didn't say "we're going to use the wand to touch you in private places" like the TSA does, but they were thorough in their investigation. They also asked both of us to pull up our pants legs...I'm guessing someone forgot an ankle holster at some point. They were friendly and professional, and the whole process took five minutes.

As soon as we finished with that, my wife checked in at the window. They asked her to fill out a half-page form of identification information, and gave her a number. We we... read complete review
